‘Raw Heat’ – Cherrie Lynn

Youngest Larson brother Damien has the luck of the devil. Fast talking and faster thinking, he owns a successful nightclub in Houston and runs an illegal poker room upstairs. After a troubled childhood, now nothing is out of Damien’s reach—except his accountant, Emma Haskell.

Emma has always been drawn to Damien’s dark intensity and the gleam in his eyes that promises more than she can possibly handle. But when her brother’s gambling threatens to destroy her family, Damien makes her an offer she’d be crazy to accept—but can’t refuse: her brother’s debts will be forgiven, and Emma belongs to him for thirty days.

In Damien’s world, he shows his angelic bookkeeper what it’s like to live with the devil. But Emma brings out a side in Damien he thought didn’t exist. Will the flames of lust scorch them both, or will this beauty tame the beast and give him something to fight for?

Raw Heat scorches with emotional intensity and smoldering passion that will leave readers spellbound!

This is the third book in the Larson Brother series. I haven’t read the other two but it didn’t matter. Each book can be read as a stand alone story but the characters all pop up again.

Damien is intense but intriguing. He owns a night club and runs an illegal poker room, he is everything Emma should avoid. But she can’t. He has always caught her eye and now he offers her a way of sorting her brother’s mess out and she can’t refuse. Damien is one of those characters who you know you shouldn’t like in the beginning, but you can’t help yourself. He’s charismatic, charming, gorgeous and disarming. No wonder Emma doesn’t stand a chance!

Emma is a strong character who loves unconditionally. Her brother has put her and her family through hell but she won’t give up on him because he is family. When it comes to love she is all in and Damien knows it and uses it to his advantage. She has to be his for 30 days and he will sort her brother’s debts out. Emma is outraged but her brother wastes no time throwing her under the bus. I wished Emma would tell him where to go, family or not!

Both of the main characters are passionate and stubborn and this makes their relationship even more fun to read. The chemistry is insane! Thirty days and it is all over, but will they be able to walk away?

I will definitely be reading the other two books in the series! 🙂
