Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature created by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week it is Top Ten Book Boyfriends! I had so much fun making this list as I have many book boyfriends. 🙂 These are in no particular order.
1. Daniel from It Started With A Kiss by Melanie Moreland.
Daniel is one of my favourite book boyfriends. I go on about him a lot so you may have heard of him already. It Started With A Kiss is my go to book after a rough day and that is all down to Daniel and how perfect he is! He is a vet, family man, sweet but possessive, sexy and smart. Everything a book boyfriend should be. 😉
2. Captain Wentworth from Persuasion by Jane Austen.
One of my favourite classics. I love Jane Austen and Wentworth is one of her best heroes for me. His letter to Anne at the end broke me! “You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone for ever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it, eight years and a half ago.” ❤
3. Gabe from Breaking Hollywood by Samantha Towle.
Gabe is a recent addition having not long since finished Breaking Hollywood. He is an arrogant, rude and selfish Hollywood star who meets his match when he gets his foot run over by a woman with a pygmy goat. Gabe is sexy, witty and the sort of guy you should stay away from which only made me love him more.
4. Noah from The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks.
Well of course Noah had to make my list. This was one of my first reads where I fell head over heels for the characters. Noah’s unyielding love for Ally and his dedication to helping her remember their story is so beautiful. “I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I’ve led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I’ve loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough.” How could you not love him??
5. Rye from Country Heaven by Ava Miles.
Rye is a bad boy country singer with a reputation. He is never short of women and never out of the spotlight. However, his relationship with his little sister, Amelia Ann, and his feelings and protectiveness for Tory show another side of him.
6. Cam from Infiltration by Janie Crouch.
Cam is working deep undercover and close to catching the ringleader of a gang when his ex-girlfriend turns up and complicates everything. He has to think fast to protect her without compromising his operation. Cam’s protectiveness of Sophia and the fact he is willing to risk everything to save her is what gives him a spot on my list. He is one of my favourite book boyfriends. This is such a great series!
7. Richard from The Contract by Melanie Moreland.
Richard is a nightmare boss. He is arrogant, rude, selfish and mean. When he asks Katy to move in with him and pretend to be his fiancée he begins to change. We see a different side to him when he is with Katy and Penny. His vulnerability begins to show and his priorities change. He realises life is about more than just his career. I love the way he is with Penny, how protective he is of Katy and how he becomes a part of the Gavin family.
8. Henry from The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger.
I’ll always have a place in my heart for Henry. This one of my favourite books and one I really need to reread! Henry and Clare’s relationship is so beautiful and despite the difficult circumstances they make it work as they know they are soulmates.
9. Shane from The Transporter by Liz Maverick.
Love Shane!!! He is a no nonsense bad boy. Never stays in one place for long. He meets Cecily when he does a favour for a friend and they hit it off. He is torn between his feelings for Cecily and his loyalty to his friend and her brother. But when Cecily is kidnapped he doesn’t think twice about going after her. I love Shane so much. He is protective, loyal, witty and gorgeous. Perfect book boyfriend.
10. Adam from My Image of You by Melanie Moreland.
Adam falls fast for Ally and wants to protect her from her awful family. He helps her to believe in herself and to escape from the guilt of her past. When an obstacle is thrown in the way and it looks like they are over, he will stop at nothing to win her back and keep her safe. He is the perfect combination of bad boy and loving boyfriend.
That’s my 10! Let me know who is on your list. Always love discovering new book boyfriends!
