‘Reid’ – Melanie Moreland

You’ve met the men of BAM. Now get to know the rebel.

Who is Reid Matthews?

A child, abandoned and unloved.
A teen, adrift and disregarded, using his superior tech skills for the wrong intentions.

A young adult, his future overshadowed by his prison record, his life an endless loop of loneliness.

Until he is given a second chance and a new life emerges.

A career he once thought he could only dream of, surrounded by people who show him that family and home aren’t simply words.

And a girl who shows him the greatest, most complex code he could ever write.

Love.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love this series. The men of BAM never fail to make me smile and Reid was no exception. Melanie pulls it out of the bag every time.

Reid is the geek of the gang. He is awkward but brilliant and looks up to the other men of BAM as brothers. When Becca enters his life he is at a loss. He has spent so long lost in his past that he can’t comprehend ever having a future. But she makes him want one.

Reid brings a different element to the BAM group. He’s a shy, awkward geek, unlike the others, but just as loveable. The interactions with the rest of the BAM men had me smiling and the relationship between Reid and Aiden is my favourite. You see more of the characters you have grown to love and meet some new ones.

This book is about overcoming your past and realising that family are those you choose. The people who stand by you when no one else will. And watching Reid discover that for himself is perfect.

A fab book about family, friendship and second chances. You can’t help but love this series and all of the characters in it.
